A full body strength workout can be completed at home using your body weight, resistance bands, and a foam roller. The recommendations below will help you select the correct equipment for your home gym workouts.
Resistance Bands
Since resistance bands are portable, you can use them at home and while traveling. Additionally, bands allow you to exercise in a variety of movements and can offer a workout that’s superior to exercise machines and free weights.
I use FitCord resistance bands to train clients, and in my workouts. They’ve held up very well through continuous use the past two years. I believe FitCord sells the best bands on the market, and they’re also American made! You can use the links below to order FitCords.
FitCord X-Over Bands – For Upper Body Exercises
I recommend buying the 3 pack (25, 40, & 55lbs). You will use these bands for pressing and rowing exercises. The bands can be anchored to a variety of locations.
I recommend purchasing either the medium (18lb), heavy (25lb) or the very heavy (40lb) sculpting band. You’ll use this band for hamstring curls and other lower body exercises. You’ll need to also purchase the ankle cuff.
Use before/after workouts to improve muscle tissue quality and relieve glute and IT band stiffness. I use the Triggerpoint roller ($35-50 - Target, Amazon). https://triggerpoint.implus.com
